The Kinlin XR-300 is our favorite all around clincher rim. It's 30mm deep, which makes it nice and aero, and makes it stiff, strong and reliable. And what's amazing about these rims is how light they are -- they average 456 grams on our scales.
These rims are extruded from Niobium-Aluminum alloy and are joined with a high-quality pinned joint. The braking surfaces are machined for superior stopping, and the finish quality is exceptional.
Light riders can ride 16/20 or 18/24 spoke count wheels, and 20/24 is strong enough for most everyone else.
These also build nicely into PowerTap wheels, and make great all around wheels for training and racing.
